About

Dan has been a licensed real estate agent for over 29 years and has extensive experience with residential sales, land development, land/lot sales, farm sales, and local agricultural land preservation programs. He also manages seven family-owned commercial and residential investment properties in Carroll and Baltimore Counties. Additionally, he has worked on some very complicated and unusual real estate related projects over the years; for example, he was intimately involved in the negotiations and planning for the 4.5 mile conveyor system that connects Lehigh Cement’s New Windsor Quarry to their Union Bridge Manufacturing Plant (https://www.baltimoresun.com/maryland/carroll/news/ph-cc-lehigh-conveyor-progress-20160116-story.html).

Dan is a Past President of the Carroll County REALTORS® (2014-2015) and is now actively involved on the state level with the Maryland REALTORS®, having recently chaired their Legislative Committee (2017-2018) and Issues Mobilization Committee (2019-2021). He is also a longtime member of their Finance Committee (since 2013), a former RPAC Trustee (2019-2021), and has served on their Board of Directors and Executive Committee multiple times.

Dan is a lifetime resident of Carroll County and cares deeply for the community he serves. He has committed himself to various civic-minded activities over the years, having served on numerous local boards and task forces. Of note, he served on the City of Westminster’s Board of Zoning Appeals for 11 years (2010-2021) and Carroll County’s Planning and Zoning Commission for over 7 years (2013-2021), and then was finally persuaded to run for Westminster City Council in 2021 and ended up garnering the most votes of that election cycle, receiving 79% of the votes casted. In his new role on Westminster City Council, Dan chairs the City’s Economic and Community Development Committee, vice-chairs the Finance and Public Safety Committees, and serves as the ex officio member on the City’s Planning and Zoning Commission. Additionally, Dan was recently selected to serve on the Maryland Municipal League’s Legislative Committee.

Dan lives in downtown Westminster with his wife Tina and their two sons, Nicholas and Gabriel. They are lovingly restoring their 120-year-old Victorian on historic Belle Grove Square. He loves his family, his work, and his community!
