Lisa Sturtevant - Chief Economist, Bright MLS

As Bright MLS Chief Economist, Dr. Lisa Sturtevant is the only MLS-focused chief economist in the country. Lisa’s experience in economic, demographic, and housing market research spans more than 20 years. Lisa currently leads the research and forecast activities for Bright, serving as a thought leader on the housing market. Prior to Bright MLS, Lisa was Chief Economist with Virginia REALTORS®, founder and president of LSA Planning, a housing consulting firm, and served in other research capacities at non-profit organizations and universities. Lisa completed her PhD in public policy from George Mason University, earned a master’s degree in public policy from University of Maryland and received a BS in mathematical economics from Wake Forest University. In her spare time, Lisa grows specialty cut flowers and enjoys dystopian fiction novels.
